Three things: Day 82

1) This is from yesterday because I didn’t have enough stuff today: my headphones worked almost the whole olm. Whoop.

2) I found this ENT quiz I can use to study? I’m just not motivated haha.

3) I think I’m gonna get a bed by myself. Or a couch, whatever. At least so I hope.

We went from Lisbon to the south today by the way. Somewhere around Portimão. I never learn to say that ã. It’s new years eve today. Happy new year! Maybe I will write a long post on Facebook.

Three things: Day 81

1) Whenever I have a good sense of orientation and find my way to places I feel super proud. Went for a morning walk with my moms friends husband (This is getting complicated) and I wasn’t wrong in my decisions on the road. Actually maybe I just like to be right? Haha anyways, the scenery was very nice.
2) Got to climb some small stones as well along the way. Something that makes me happy, as we know.
3) Honestly I’m home studying and it’s super boring. Oh, well. I had a skype meeting today and it was nice to see the people I’m working with, cuz they’re awesome. Also somehow nice to be slowly stepping back in the work we’re currently doing, letting the new team take the lead. :3

Three things: Day 80

1) I managed to get up early morning to study some while watching the sunrise and having breakfast, before going for a walk with a friend of my mom. Feeling productive (won’t last long, I bet)
2) We went to the easternmost point of continental europe and watched the sunset over the Atlantic sea, which was cool and all (and I love the sea) though the best part was definitely…
3) that I managed to communicate with the uber driver, me speaking in Spanish and him in Portuguese/Portoñol. Well, either way I didn’t quite understand him haha but he said it was easy to understand me, and I managed to arrange for him to come and pick us up for the ride back home 😀 And I’ve missed Spanish! (It’s been 3 days since I left Spain… Lol)

Three things: Day 79

1) I randomly met my mom on a walk, and she decided to take a bunch of photos of me, *sigh* haha. Well, they turned out much nicer than I had expected! (Some horrible too, but let’s forget about them)
2) So when I go for walks, I have a tendency to get lost. Especially to walk into a forest to then suddenly realise that the trail I followed has disappeared and there are just bushes everywhere. Of course, I did that this time as well. Finally I did find the thing I was looking for (scenic viewpoint), which was a victory in itself – as I was just about to give up.
3) In addition to that, the veiw was really great from that viewpoint. My favourite part though was the basement, which I got into just by chance after already deciding to leave the place. It was a bit dark (read: pitchblack) and a bit spooky, abandoned and destroyed, with slender man painted on the walls and broken showers (?) and what not, but somehow very fascinating.

Ohh and I got to sleep all night, without my brother waking me up. My mom had warned me that he kicks. #familyholiday

Three things: Day 78

1) Elevators are great when you have a heavy suitcase. Or if you for example use a wheelchair. And suddenly I started to pay much more attention to whether or not buildings and spaces are wheelchair accessible (a lot of places are not). What a privilege to never have to think about that…
2) Well, I was pretty happy to arrive to the hotel where my family is staying, after the not so long walk with the suitcase on the cobblestone streets. I love cobblestones, but not with a suitcase.
3) Also managed to see a friend, on the one day we are both spending in this city (Lisbon), yay good timing. And I wore the hat I got 🙂 I never wear hats, so that was interesting.

Three things: Day 77

1) I caught my bus. Was quite nervous. I’m always happy when I don’t miss my bus? Hahaha. I actually don’t usually miss my bus, but I’m always afraid I will. To be fair I’ve done quite stupid things at airports (eg brought an expired passport), so I wouldn’t be surprised I’d mess something up. Not that airports and buses are the same thing, but anyways.
2) My bus ticket said I had seat 15 but there was only seat numbers until 14 on the bus. That was funny. Maybe not. I thought it was funny. The driver said I could sit wherever I wanted.
3) The bus is half empty. There is no one next to me so I can lie down and sleep ❤

Well, this was very bus related. But I’m on a 15h bus journey so… Also had a great day, and lunch with a friend (we finally found an open restaurant after walking across half of Barcelona haha, but that was fun, and food was yummy 🙂) before running to the bus x)

Three things: Day 76

1) I managed to catch all my trains and stuff, I didn’t even get lost. Big surprise.
2) I had Christmas dinner with a friends family, because they’re nice. And also they have a dog, and dog is happiness ❤
3) Then I came home, and my friends flatmates had their families visiting. They were also nice, and I had dinner with them. One of the fathers kept on telling me I should visit the city where they live. This is a nice Christmas.

Three things: Day 75

1) It’s Christmas Eve. I went with my friend to her hospital for a 24h shift, cuz there’s nothing better to do for Christmas. Maybe. Anyways, everything today is somehow hospital related. Well, it’s a beautiful place around here. And people friendly :))
2) I got to talk to patients, and examine them all by myself! Super nervous, but it kinda worked! Have I ever mentioned I like to be in the emergency department? I think I have.
3) Best part though was definitely when patients start by looking at me sceptically, asking if there is no ”real doctor” and complaining that they’ve been waiting too long, and then by the end they have become super friendly. I feel like I can officially say that I can fake it till you make it in Spanish *phew*

Three things: Day 73

1) We had brunch at a nice place with a loot of options. I managing to decide what food I wanted without too much drama – success! I got avocado, yummy :3
2) I got a unicorn! Their name is Carlitos ❤
3) Ended up at poetry slam in the evening, and I actually understood some things! 😀 Not the Catalan though, I super don’t understand catalan haha. Anyways, that was cool
